A daylight view of the fictional Preditorium, an ancient restored stadium with weathered stone arches and navy banners

A place in the hidden world

Preditorium

An old stadium under a summer sky. A meeting point for six friends. A doorway waiting beneath the stone.

Preditorium is the fictional stadium at the heart of The Preditorium Prophecy. It is not a predator word. It is a name imagined from the grandeur of an ancient Greek festival tent and arena, then carried into a modern world of backpacks, sport and secrets.

Not a ruin. Not quite a stadium.

From a distance, the Preditorium looks ready for a great sporting day: flags in the wind, broad steps, crowds arriving and a stadium entrance wide enough to swallow a city.

Look longer and something feels older. Its arches borrow the ceremony of an ancient arena. Its high fabric roof recalls the vast tents of festivals and games. Gold laurels, torch emblems and a statue at the centre make it feel less like a normal venue and more like a place built to remember something.

Above ground

A public-facing stadium, alive with sport, noise and a modern summer crowd.

In its bones

An imagined ancient arena: stone arches, ceremonial banners, laurel and flame.

Below the steps

The first threshold into the hidden world, where ordinary plans begin to change.

Where the prophecy begins

Peter and the Ascendants are meant to meet at the entrance after the high jump at the Paris Luminatics. It is a pleasant Sunday morning on the first of July. Jack has a DJ laptop. Everyone has a backpack. The day is unmistakably modern.

Then the ground trembles. Shadowy figures arrive. The place that was only meant to be a meeting point opens towards corridors, old stone and the hidden world below.

Read Chapter 1 and meet them at the entrance.

Is Preditorium a real word?

No. It is a coined story-world name created for this book. It is deliberately meant to sound ceremonial and ancient, but it is not the name of a real Greek place and it has no connection to “predator” or “predatory”.

The name belongs to the stadium, and the stadium belongs to the first step of the adventure: a place that seems open to everyone, while quietly keeping its most important door hidden.

Step through the entrance.

Begin with the day the Ascendants arrive at the Preditorium, before they understand what is waiting underneath.
